I've been a little unimaginative with my meals lately. I had tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner yesterday... Apple pie has been my go-to snack. (I'm not proud of that). And roasted vegetables and biscuits are getting me through today.
Tomorrow is FINALLY pay day and I can venture out into the unknown. I might wander over to Tallgrass again and see what they have.
I also have a whole chicken in my freezer that is starting to cluck at me when I get ice cubes.
This week, I went to the Beaverdale Farmers Market. I don't love the Downtown Farmers Market because, as a late night worker, 7 am is EARLY. I get there around 9 or 10 and it's PACKED. The Beaverdale market was much less crowded and I saw some familiar faces. I obviously won't stop going to the Downtown market to pick up my CSA, but I will be back to the Beaverdale area for some mid-week grabs.
After the market, I went to the Cheese Shop with some girlfriends for Cheese 101.
This is the second time I've been to this class, and it never disappoints. If you have $30 and a Tuesday night free, give them a call. They do the class once a month and it usually fills up quickly.
We got 7 different types of cheese and quite a few glasses of wine. That's a great dinner right there!
Well, hopefully I can branch out a little this week and find some fresh recipes. Wish me luck!
