My First Inadvertent "Cheat"

I thought I would have quite the post today... But then the day sorta fizzled out.

I woke up EARLY... 8am (That's early when you get off work the night before at 11.) and headed down to the Farmer's Market to get my CSA and see what was there.  I said hi to my CSA farmer, Larry, and got a few extras and headed to the YMCA to volunteer for Tour de Cure.

We were expecting a crowd... And we got about 30 people.  I think we cut 60 bananas in half, quartered 25 oranges, and poured 40 cups of Gatorade.

Needless to say, we over prepared.

But it was a fun time, and a great way to spend the morning for a good cause.

And then I headed to, what I thought was, a local restaurant... Abelardo's Mexican Restaurant...  Locations in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Washington.

Oops.

The nachos were pretty good though.

So, 20-some days in and I have my first inadvertent "cheat".  I give myself credit though, I didn't eat any bananas, oranges, or cookies that we had set out for bikers.

In other news, I got my beer making kit already!!  That didn't take long at all.

It didn't come with bottles at all though, so I guess I'll just have to drink it straight from the bucket.  (Just kidding, my dad's bringing me bottles).

Also on the menu this week; roasted chicken (if I can hunt down some thyme) and Greek yogurt.
